Jack Kausch was a photographer who lived and worked in Michigan. He was raised in Detroit and graduated from Cranbrook. He also earned a bachelor's degree in physics and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Michigan. During the Korean War, Kausch joined the Air National Guard and in the late 1950s he worked for his father's construction business.
